About the Apple Watch app

Marvelist has been available on the Apple Watch since mid-2023, so providing you're running a recent version of Marvelist (which you should be!) you'll have access to the Apple Watch companion.

Configuring the watchOS app is as simple as launching it on your Watch, and ensuring you have Marvelist open on your iPhone.

You might need to wait a minute or so for the login process to complete and the watchOS app to finish configuring.

Once the watchOS app has finished configuring you'll be presented with your Marvelist lists. Currently, Task Lists and Notes Lists are supported on Apple Watch. Scribble Lists are not available.

Task Lists are available in full read-write mode. So, you can add and complete tasks as normal. (You cannot currently delete tasks from your Watch, you'll need to do this from your iPhone/iPad).

Notes Lists are available in read-only mode. You'll be able to open your Notes Lists and view/read any notes you have made, but you won't be able to add any new notes or edit any existing notes.

Shared Lists are also available in the watchOS app!

When it comes to the watchOS app, there are a few things to consider:
  1. Apple Watch only shows 'online' versions of your Lists. Therefore, an internet connection is required.
  2. Private Lists (those being lists you have locked) cannot be authenticated on Apple Watch and are therefore unavailable and will not be displayed.
  3. Apple Watch will only show 'outstanding' tasks. Completed tasks can be viewed on your iPhone/iPad.
As always, help isn't too far away! If you need any assistance with the watchOS app, you can reach us at help@marvelist.co.uk.
